Accelerate
Innovative engineering education for 10th, 11th, and 12th graders which provides intense academic rigor and a fast-paced learning environment which, upon successful completion, will allow well-prepared students to earn up to 41 college credits by the end of the 12th grade.*
Provided by the SC Governor’s School for Science & Mathematics and SC college partners, Accelerate allows students to live at home and continue at their local schools while providing the high quality education for which the SC GSSM is known. Classes are LIVE and not pre-recorded, accessible via multiple mediums (computers, teleconferencing, etc.) provided for and maintained by SC GSSM.
The application process will begin in November. Current 9th grade students who are interested in this program are encouraged to visit the following website and review the application timeline.
Requirements:
Current resident of South Carolina
Attend one of our participating schools
Project successful completion of Algebra 2 Honors by end of 9th grade
Cost:
Accelerate is funded by the State of South Carolina and corporate partners.
