Today we celebrate National Special Education Day! On December 2, 1975, President Ford signed into law the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act. This law ensures that children with disabilities receive special education and related services. We'd like to take a moment to express our appreciation and gratitude to our incredible Special Education department for the uniquely challenging roles they play in providing an excellent educational experience for our students. Interact Club collected canned food for Clemson Community Care in November. Students also created food bags for local families to assist during the holidays.
Interact Club meeting in November highlighted how to serve and the Rotary Youth Exchange program. Luca Penouel is a current DWD student from Rome, Italy, sharing about his exchange year here in Clemson.
